Markham, ON — August 21, 2024 — The Federation of Asian Canadians Toronto (FACT) proudly announces the 6th Annual Asialicious Carnival, scheduled for September 6th to 8th, 2024, at Woodside Square in Scarborough.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Golden Palace Banquet Hall in Markham, Ontario, where FACT President Benny Cheung unveiled this year’s theme and event highlights.
Cheung expressed great excitement about this year’s Carnival, which will spotlight South Korea’s vibrant culture. “From traditional Korean music and dance to contemporary K-pop performances, we’ve curated an interactive experience that will transport attendees to the heart of South Korea,” said Cheung.
In addition to the South Korean theme and various Asian cultural experiences presented by over 30 vendors, a spectacular fifireworks show, ‘Starry Night,’ will be held on Saturday, September 7th, immediately following the opening ceremony. This stunning display will light up the sky and create a magical moment for all who attend.
“Asialicious Carnival has become a beloved tradition in the Greater Toronto Area. We are delighted to host the Carnival at Woodside Square, showcasing the richness of Asian heritage and inviting everyone to celebrate diversity and inclusion from September 6th to 8th, 2024.”, said Laura Liu, Marketing Manager of Woodside Square, a long-time sponsor of Asialicious Carnival.
Benny Cheung, a driving force behind FACT, added, “The Asialicious Carnival is more than just a celebration; it embodies FACT’s mission to empower and promote the diverse Asian Canadian community. Through our events and membership program, we foster unity, cultural exchange, and economic growth, providing opportunities for businesses and individuals to connect and thrive.”
Cheung also extended her heartfelt thanks to the Federal and Toronto Municipal governments, event sponsors – including the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offifice Toronto, Woodside Square, 95 Developments, RBC, Great Canadian Leasing Company, Polygon Production, Sweven Media, Sing Tao Media Group, Xinflix Media – and the FACT Directors, organizing committees, and volunteers who make this event possible. Many of them were present at the press conference.
